Light Bean is a pendant light rooted in nature and local craftsmanship.
Designed by San Francisco-based industrial designer Katerina Kopytina, it reflects a commitment to local production, material authenticity, and a more tactile approach to contemporary design.
From shaping and finishing to final assembly, every step takes place locally in the USA. This proximity allows for continuous experimentation, precise control, and an active dialogue between design and making.
Meet the designer
Katerina Kopytina is an industrial designer with a passion for nature, experimentation and a community-based approach toward design.
After being an innovator in the hardware field for over a decade, she shifted her creative focus to local craftsmanship and designs that emerge from place, story, and the natural beauty of materials.
